How long does a GCash dispute take?
GCash aims to respond within 24 hours to 3 business days. Full investigations take 48 hours to 7 days. Complex cases involving GCash Card chargebacks may take up to 180 days.
What is the deadline to file a GCash dispute?
File your dispute within 15 days of the transaction date for the best chance of resolution. While disputes can technically be filed after this period, timely reporting significantly improves outcomes.
Does GCash have a 24/7 hotline?
Yes. The hotline (2882 or 02-7213-9999) is available daily from 8 AM to 5 PM for general inquiries, and 24/7 for urgent security concerns like scams and unauthorized access.
Refund Questions
Will GCash refund unauthorized transactions?
Yes, if the investigation confirms the transaction was unauthorized due to a system or security issue. If the transaction resulted from phishing where you voluntarily shared your OTP or credentials, a refund is not guaranteed.
Will GCash refund me if I was scammed?
If you were tricked (social engineering), GCash may not refund the amount since you initiated the transfer. However, if your account was hacked without your action, a refund is more likely. Report immediately and file with authorities for the best outcome.
How long does a GCash refund take?
System error refunds can be processed within 24 hours. Merchant refunds take 7–15 business days. Complex chargeback cases may take up to 180 days.
Can I get my money back if I sent to the wrong GCash number?

How do I dispute a GCash Card charge?

Can I do a chargeback through GCash?
Yes. For GCash Mastercard charges, you can request a chargeback by filing a dispute form. GCash will coordinate with Mastercard/Visa on your behalf if the merchant fails to resolve the issue.
